Additional Info: After my boys Saturday football game was called off it gave us the chance to bag a quick over nighter so after work Friday load the car up and off we went grab a quick max ds on the way had a walk round the lake wasn’t many people on so chose a swim I knew that the fish patrol found a couple of spots in the weed and we sat back and enjoyed the sun set wasn’t long and the rod was away but as soon as I pick it up knew it wasn’t a carp and sure enough up pop a tench but it gave me confidence that the spot was working so out with another bag night passed with not a lot going on but at first light the same rod was away again this time it was a carp took me through a couple of weed beds but soon had it under the rod tip and was lead me up and down the margins stay deep after about 5 mins up pop this lovely dark common had a few more Spirit runs but wasn’t long before she went in the net looked a good fish safely in the net once she was on the back could see it was well spawn out but recognise the carp from a few pictures I had seen of her and it a fish called stupid common second biggest in the lake normally a 30 but when she went on the scales was 28.4 but none the less still buzzing
