Additional Info: Upon arriving to the lake and a few nights at my disposal I choose an area that was slightly shallower because of the milder conditions we had recently only for the wind to turn in to a cold northerly right in ny face rain sleet and a change in temperature dropping to -2 for two nights. So after a quite 48hrs I decided to move swims in between rain and sleet showers to an area that had slightly deeper water and that's done me fish late winter before . So I pre baited a margin spot and left it all day placing a rig on it at last light . 20 mins later rod was away with this funny old character at 14lb 7oz to save a blank. A mix of Sticky baits manilla active 12mm bloodworm pellet calanus and shrimp liquids mixed with hemp and maples with a small mesh bag of 2.3mm bloodworm and manilla pellet and a peach n pepper wafter doing the only bite of the trip.
