Tactics: Found 3 clearer spots in an otherwise very silty, weedy lake at 23 wraps

Additional Info: Llyn Helyg is a 300year old estate lake, very weedy, extremely silty (up to 4ft of silt in some areas). Carp stock is low and some of the residence have remained un caught for many years. My tactics of finding a nice channel of smooth silt allowed me to spread my 3 rigs apart along it, 2 spombs over each one, alternating the spombing kept the swans confused and off my spots. I retired to my brolly at around 5pm for a brew and to watch the sun set. Clear night sky, no wind and high pressure meant that come the morning the lake had frozen over. At 8:30am my Delkim let out a short run of beeps and I was in to a lovely old common, I had to wade out and smash some thinner ice to land it. Absaloutely amazing feeling catching from under the ice.
