Additional Info: Well here it is! 13 years of carp fishing has lead me to this very special moment in my life. I’ve Finally made it into the UK 40’s club with this absolute banger of a carp. A fish called the Hawaiian Honey, weighing in at 41.4lb. Only 6 nights into the new syndicate and I’ve already got amongst the A team! Mega chuffed with this very special carp! After a slow bite I played the fish halfway to the bank before it found a weed bed to bury itself in. I prepared the boat and headed out towards the fish to try and free it from the weed. Once I got above the area it was snagged I could still feel the fish moving, not long after it freed from the weed. It then took me on a 30 minute boat battle before finally kissing the spreader block. I let out a big shout of relief once seeing such a chunk going into my net, a moment I’ll remember forever. A Chunky Monkey boilie topped with a Pink Kernel from baitmonkey1 on a size 4 offset hook from hoboarmour got me this bite. A small pva mesh bag with whole and crushed boilies casted over a small bed of bait done the job for tricking the Hawaiian up.
