Additional Info: Made a last minute decision to get Alfie to join me after school yesterday in hope for him to get one in the net. The boy loves his fishing, he doesn’t stop talking about it and has been eager to come along again for while. The evening was drawing in and it was looking like a blank for him, we packed up just leaving the rods on the dance floor, praying for that last second bite. He was about to say “Shall we call it a day” but before he got to finish his sentence his rod screaaamed. Watching & guiding him play it in whilst he’s smiling from ear to ear was a very proud moment. We got it in the net, high fived and whilst teaching him how to hold the carp correctly and get a photo my rod tore off also. Hearing the excitement in his voice when he said “We can do a double take photo dad!” made the wait so worth it. This is what it’s all about!
