Angler Name: Tommy Humm
Hometown: Bromley
Fish Weight: 21lb
Bait: Stickybaits krill bottom bait tipped off with fake pop-up corn
Venue: Twynersh Fishing Complex - Old Match Lake
Rig: Multi Hinge
Tactics: I used the corus baiting spoon to reach an area that was not castbale, the spoon was filled with hemp, sweet corn and flaked, chopped and whole krill boilie.
Additional Info: I had seen fish showing on and off the area of the lake for a week or so. I decided that after work, I’d have a go. I got my swim of choice however, before putting my rods out, plumbed the area that I saw the fish showing. It only took around 4 casts and clipped up to one area which had a firm drop. The other area I had to be a bit more creative and shipped the lead out with a baiting spoon and before I dropped the lead I put tension on the line so I could feel for a drop to my surprise it was a nice donk, so I prepared a couple of multi hinges and got the rods out. At around 1:15am I had a one toner I picked up into the fish and it plodded around in the area not taking much line until it saw the net and took around 20 yards of line. When I got it in the net I didn’t think it was 20lb+ until I had a proper look and it had some depth to it. I weighed it and it went 21lb dead on and I was made up.
