Arnold’s new PB
[email protected] | Aug 26, 2023
Angler Name: Arnold
Hometown: Billingshurst
Fish Weight: 17lb 11oz
Bait: CC Moore, Pacific Tuna
Venue: West Sussex
Rig: Curve shank, KD rig
Tactics: Fishing close to feature over a scattering of boilies.
Additional Info: Arnold now 6, has fished since the age of 3. Usually using his float rod for a variety of smaller species. This weekend he wanted to use his own carp rod set up.
Capable of casting, baiting and playing fish it was time for dad to sit back and watch.
First take resulted in a hook pull, but 18 hours into the session he had a screaming run, and went to battle with the pictured fish. His arms were sore, but he battled until he guided it into the waiting net!! Proper proud moment for dad!
The Mirror weighed 17lb 11oz.
2hrs later he improved his PB to 22lb 3oz, but unfortunately it was too heavy to get a decent picture of the Mirror.
We’d only set off for one nights fishing, but having caught two cracking carp he begged to do another night. Mum dropped off the supplies and we stayed the night.
