Additional Info:  What a day to be on the bank . Pulled up to the venue with my preferred pegs taken already , a move of venues was on the cards . The lake had been fishing well for the past few weeks with lots of 20s being put on the bank , so I went with my gut feeling and tucked myself in the last swim on the lake . Not long after I cast out I was welcomed with a 9lb mirror which boosted my confidence . Decided to go with a heavy baiting approach to draw fish in with a 5kg bed of @bpmilling 6mm pellet . Solid bags loaded and a match the hatch wafter would see the next few hours uneventful. Few more spomb’s and a fresh bag and 10 minutes later the clutch of my left rod went into meltdown . Fish darting for the over hanging trees on the far bank I managed to sail the fish back into open water . A few runs later the fish gave up and with steady pressure I managed to get her to surface just in netting distance sliding straight over the cord of my net … I was 100% sure it was a new pb .
