Pete says: The old Muggas were excellent but now that they have the Covert coating they’re even better because they are really well camouflaged. For bottom-bait rigs I’ve found them to be great when incorporating a small section of silicone on the bend, flipping the point extremely quickly. I’ve also found that they are equally effective for use with pop-ups; the KD rig being a particular favourite of mine when using this pattern. For all the rigs that I use them on the hook-holds are superb. I imagine the aggressive shape of the hook as a claw gripping the bottom lip during the fight. Combined with Gardner’s consistency in sharpness, this has ensured that I’m confident in getting a bite and landing the fish whenever I use them.
Pete's Verdict Performance:★★★★★★★★★★ Value:★★★★★★★★★★ Versatile and very sharp
